Australian Independent School (AIS) Nusantara is an international school under construction in the Core Government Center Area (KIPP) of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan. This school is designed to serve students from preschool to high school (SMA), with a capacity of up to 750 students. The construction of AIS Nusantara is part of an effort to provide international standard educational facilities in IKN.
Location and Land Area
AIS Nusantara is built on an area of 7,900 square meters located in KIPP IKN, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. This location was chosen because it is strategic and is in the heart of Indonesia's new government.
Development Status
Groundbreaking
The groundbreaking of this project was carried out on September 25, 2024 by President Joko Widodo. This event marked the symbolic start of the construction of AIS Nusantara.

AIS Nusantara is designed with various international standard facilities, including modern classrooms, mini soccer field, tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, semi-Olympic swimming pool, and a 250-person capacity auditorium.
