Nusantara International Convention Center and Hotel is an ongoing convention and hotel facility development project in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan. This project aims to provide national and international meeting facilities, as well as accommodation to support these activities.
Location and Land Area
This project is located in Area 1B IKN, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan, with a land area of approximately 12 hectares.
Developer and Investment Value
The development of Nusantara International Convention Center and Hotel is carried out by Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) Group, a multinational company owned by businessman Sukanto Tanoto. The investment value for this project is estimated to reach IDR 2 trillion.
Development Stages
Groundbreaking
The groundbreaking was carried out by President Joko Widodo on August 12, 2024. This event marked the start of construction of the facility as part of infrastructure development in IKN.
Completion Schedule
Construction is targeted to be completed within 24 months from the groundbreaking, with the hope that it can be used to support the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2026.
Facilities and Capacity
The Nusantara International Convention Center is designed to accommodate around 10,000 people, making it one of the largest convention centers in the area. In addition, the complex will be equipped with a hotel that provides accommodation for convention participants and other guests.
Objectives and Functions
This project aims to provide facilities that support Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) activities in the IKN, as well as increase accommodation and meeting capacity in the area. With these facilities, it is hoped that the IKN can become a more integrated center for business and government activities.
