Delonix Nusantara is a mixed-use commercial area project currently under construction in the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. This project is the first direct investment from a foreign company in IKN, carried out by Delonix Group, a property company from China. This development includes hotels, serviced apartments, shopping centers, offices, sports and fitness facilities, and green open spaces.
Location and Land Area
Delonix Nusantara is built on an area of 24,200 square meters in the IKN area. Its location is strategic, in the center of the development of Indonesia's new capital city, which is designed to be a sustainable and modern city.
History and Development Process
Groundbreaking
The groundbreaking of the Delonix Nusantara project was carried out on September 25, 2024 by President Joko Widodo. This event marked the start of construction and demonstrated foreign investors' confidence in the potential of IKN as a future economic center.
Investment and Funding
Delonix Group invested around IDR 500 billion for the development of this project. This investment is part of the total foreign investment in the IKN which reached IDR950 billion at that time.
Design and Architecture
Building Concept
The Delonix Nusantara project is designed as a mixed-use area that integrates various functions in one complex. The Model J Hotel, which is part of this project, is planned to have 200 rooms with environmentally friendly facilities, reflecting a focus on sustainability.
Supporting Facilities
In addition to the hotel, this complex will be equipped with serviced apartments, shopping centers, offices, sports and fitness facilities, and green open spaces. This design aims to create an ecosystem that supports a modern and sustainable lifestyle.
Current Status
As of May 2025, the construction of Delonix Nusantara is still in the early construction stage. The developer and the IKN Authority are committed to completing this project on schedule, while still paying attention to aspects of sustainability and integration with the surrounding environment.
