The BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Office in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) is the head office of the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) for Employment which is currently being built in the Core Government Center Area (KIPP), Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan. This development aims to provide social security services for employment in IKN, along with the relocation of the center of the Indonesian government to the area.
Laying the First Stone and Investment
The laying of the first stone for the construction of this office was carried out by President Joko Widodo on November 2, 2023. The construction of this building marks the presence of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan services in IKN and is expected to complete public service facilities in the area. (IKN)
Design and Architecture
The BPJS Ketenagakerjaan office building in IKN is designed with the concept of "Home for All", which is inspired by the typical Betang House of Kalimantan. This design reflects the values of togetherness and inclusivity, and adopts environmentally friendly principles by utilizing natural lighting and cross ventilation for energy efficiency.
Facilities and Functions
This building will be equipped with various supporting facilities, including employee workspaces, data centers, green open spaces, and public service areas. The presence of this office is expected to improve the operational efficiency of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and support employment social security services in the IKN and its surroundings.
Integration with the National Employment Service
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan President Director, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, stated that the construction of this office is a strategic step in expanding the scope of employment social security services throughout Indonesia. The presence of the head office in the IKN is expected to strengthen the employment social security system and support protection for workers in various sectors.
