Plaza Seremoni is the main public plaza located at the heart of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in Nusantara. Positioned directly in front of the National Palace and Garuda Palace, it plays a central role in the city’s symbolic and functional layout. The plaza serves as a venue for official ceremonies and a community space.
Key Features
According to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), the plaza includes the following core components:
Visitor Center: An information center for visitors, offering details about the Nusantara area, spatial plans, history of development, and public services. Equipped with rest areas and public restrooms.
Mini Amphitheater: A small tiered outdoor theater for performances, talks, and community events. It blends with the surrounding green environment.
Forest Trail: A walking trail through a forested area, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience local flora and natural scenery.
MSME Gallery (Galeri UMKM): A permanent showcase for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across Indonesia. This gallery promotes local products and encourages economic inclusion within the capital.
Construction and Contractors
Construction of the plaza began in December 2022. PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) served as the main contractor under a contract worth approximately IDR 365.8 billion. Project supervision was provided by PT Virama Karya and PT Laras Sembada. The design prioritizes sustainability and integration with other public spaces.
Penyelesaian dan Pemanfaatan
The construction was completed in the beginning of 2024. Plaza Seremoni was inaugurated by President Jokowi on August 14, 2024. It is now open to the public and functions as a space for social engagement, learning, and support for MSMEs.
