Qubika Boutique Hotel Nusantara

Qubika Boutique Hotel Nusantara is a three-star hotel located in the Government Core Area (Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan, KIPP) of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is operated by PT Indonesia Kubika Nasional and has been described by officials of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) as the first purely private investment to become operational and profitable within the KIPP zone.

History

The hotel forms part of the BSH Community Hub, a 1.7-hectare mixed-use development in IKN built on land leased from PT Karya BSH Mandiri. The hub also includes the Kampung Kecil restaurant, a meeting facility, and planned future apartments and a food court. Groundbreaking for the BSH Community Hub, including the hotel, took place on 21 December 2023.

Qubika Nusantara is the second property under the Qubika brand, following an earlier hotel in Serpong, Tangerang. Construction used a modular method assembled from stacked shipping containers. The hotel represented an investment of approximately Rp 100 billion, alongside a separate Rp 30 billion meeting facility built in the same first phase, out of a total planned investment of Rp 370 billion for the wider BSH Community Hub.

The hotel began serving the public on a limited basis around the Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) holiday period in 2025, in response to rising demand for accommodation in the area. Hotel director Ferry Angkawidjaya stated that the decision to open followed frequent inquiries from prospective guests about the hotel's availability.

Facilities

The hotel has 206 rooms, seven meeting rooms each with a capacity of around 50 people, and a ballroom that can accommodate 500 to 600 guests. Its design follows a "go green" and eco-friendly approach, which the operator presents as being in line with the sustainability principles guiding IKN's broader architecture and planning.

Location and Operations

Qubika Nusantara is located within walking distance of the surrounding government offices in KIPP. Demand for the hotel has come from both tourists and representatives of government institutions relocating to or visiting IKN. The hotel has also hired staff from communities near IKN as part of its stated commitment to local economic involvement.
