The best viewpoints are the areas open to the public on the day of your visit, because the rest of the city is still a construction site. Open areas can differ by period (as of October 2026). The electric bus stops at Plaza Seremoni Barat, from where you can walk to see Istana Garuda and Masjid Negara, explore Plaza Seremoni to the east, and Taman Kusuma Bangsa to the west.

Why not somewhere else

Areas outside this route, including the legislative and judicial complex that's still under construction, aren't part of general visits yet, so the best current views really are limited to what's visible from the official route.

This will likely change

The glamping area and glass bridge have opened on long holidays (as of May 2026). Other sites, such as the cultural centre, are still in OIKN's plans. Check the IKNOW app or the official Otorita IKN channels for open areas.
