Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital is the first hospital built in the Nusantara (IKN) area, precisely in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan. The construction of this hospital aims to provide subspecialist health services for the community in IKN and its surroundings. The groundbreaking was carried out by President Joko Widodo on September 22, 2023.
Investment and Developer
The construction of Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital involves an investment of Rp2 trillion. The hospital is being developed by PT Bhakti Husada, which is majority owned by Dr. Sutrisno Tono Subagyo, a specialist in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine.
Facilities and Services
The Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital is designed to have around 400 treatment rooms and will focus on subspecialty services, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and medical rehabilitation. In addition, the hospital will also provide sports medicine and sports research services, considering the presence of the PSSI training center in the IKN.
Technology and Innovation
Following in the footsteps of Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Jakarta, the hospital in the IKN is planned to be equipped with advanced medical technology, such as a photon-counting CT installation, to improve the accuracy of patient diagnosis and treatment.
Development Status
As of May 2025, the construction of the Abdi Waluyo Nusantara Hospital is still ongoing with a target completion at the end of 2025. This hospital is expected to become a subspecialist health service center in the IKN and attract patients from all over Indonesia and abroad.
