PETA NUSANTARA

Public spaces to visit

As Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara is not only a seat of government but also a city in harmony with nature, culture, and community. While much of Nusantara is still under development, several designed public spaces are already open or nearing completion, offering a first glimpse into the city’s character and vision.

Whether you're a local resident, an official visitor, or a curious traveler, these locations invite you to pause, reflect, and take part in the unfolding story of Nusantara.

Titik Nol Nusantara (Kilometer Zero Monument)

OIKN

Located within the heart of the Government Core Area right in front of the OIKN office, Titik Nol Nusantara (Zero Point of Nusantara) marks the symbolic center from which the capital expands. This monument is more than just a geographic marker, it represents the beginning of a new era for Indonesia. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and ceremonial design elements, it has become a favorite site for photo-taking and official visits. The Titik Nol monument is situated in the Plaza Bhinneka Tunggal, which also contains a forest trail that you can explore.

Taman Kusuma Bangsa

Taman Kusuma Bangsa serves as a civic memorial park near the ceremonial axis in the Government Core Area. Designed by sculptor I Nyoman Nuarta, the park features a statue of Indonesia’s founding fathers, Soekarno and Hatta, a sculptural “Garuda wings” installation, and an eternal flame that underscores patriotic remembrance. Central to the park is its 79‑metre-tall flagpole, the tallest in Indonesia, recognized by the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). Landscaped paths and open plaza space invite quiet visits, reflection, and small-scale civic ceremonies.

Directly in front of Taman Kusuma Bangsa lies the Plaza Seremoni, a spacious public area surrounded by several coordinating ministry offices (Kemenko). Visitors can stroll along the Forest Trail that runs through the plaza, offering a pleasant walking experience and clear views toward the Presidential Palace complex. The Plaza Seremoni also features a Visitor Center that is thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, providing information and orientation for guests exploring the area.

Embung MBH

Sekretariat Presiden

Embung MBH is a multifunctional retention reservoir within the central government district, completed in August 2024 . With a capacity of around 66,000 m³, it’s part of a network of at least 22 such reservoirs integrated into IKN’s smart water-management system. A pedestrian and jogging track, complete with a wooden bridge, circles the embung, and public benches provide space for rest and informal recreation. It also helps regulate local microclimate and urban stormwater runoff. White swans have been noted swimming on the water’s edge, and visitors often pause for a moment of quiet, with views of the nearby Garuda and Presidential Palaces.
